Já nos primeiros dias, passeando por Manhattan, encontramos uma loja de brinquedos gigantesca, a FAO Schwarz. Como resistir? São 3 andares enormes e cheeeeios de tudo quanto era tipo de coisa para crianças – er… e alguns adultos alegres também hehe No primeiro andar, todas as espécies de animais em pelúcia, inclusive versões tão grandes que eram quase o tamanho real dos bichos. Logo adiante, a área FAO Schweetz, uma espécie de Candy Bar da loja, com um buffet enorme de balas, chocolates, chicletes e marshmallows.
No segundo andar, carrinhos, bonecas, Lego, Monster High, Barbies, kits de mágica, fantasias, reborn babies, action figures. Sério, parece interminável! Eu me perdi do Rafa umas duas vezes.
Essa loja fez parte da minha infância e eu nem sabia! É a loja que aparece no filme Big – Quero Ser Grande, com Tom Hanks, em que ele e o ator Robert Loggia, que interpreta o dono de uma rede de lojas de brinquedos, tocam Heart and Soul e Chopsticks (o Bife ou “a música do Danoninho” hahaha) num piano gigante. Gente, é impossível não se empolgar com essa cena!
Por ser muito grande e numa área bem badalada de Nova York, várias celebridades já apareceram pela loja comprando brinquedos pros seus filhotes.
Pra quem também é uma eterna criança serelepe presa num corpo de adulto (ok, ou tem filhos, sobrinhos e irmãos pequenos), vale a pena passar por lá. Principalmente se for um dia chuvoso, pois lá dentro as horas voam!
